About the role
- Own and maintain the demand forecast across DTC and retail channels with minimal oversight
- Build, run, and maintain statistical forecasts using planning tools and historical data
- Continuously improve forecast accuracy and reduce bias by channel, customer, and SKU
- Identify drivers of forecast error, proactively surface risks, and recommend corrective actions
- Incorporate promotional activity, marketing plans, and NPD milestones into forward-looking forecasts
- Translate approved demand plans into high-level supply and procurement strategies aligned with lead times, capacity constraints, and business priorities
- Partner closely with the Supply Chain Analyst on inventory health, risk reviews, and disposition planning
- Support allocation and balancing of inventory across distribution centers
- Identify potential stockout or overstock risks early and collaborate cross-functionally on mitigation plans
- Prepare clear, concise, and executive-ready materials for monthly S&OP and leadership meetings
- Turn complex and messy datasets into clear narratives, dashboards, and visuals leadership can act on
- Clearly communicate risks, opportunities, tradeoffs, and recommended actions
- Help establish a disciplined, reliable monthly S&OP cadence that leadership trusts
- Continuously improve reporting structure, cadence, and clarity as the business and data maturity evolve
- Leverage planning tools, automation, and data storytelling to elevate decision-making across the organization
Requirements
- You have 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, and/or S&OP
- You have strong experience supporting retail and omnichannel businesses (DTC + wholesale)
- You have advanced Excel skills
- You’ve worked in a scaling consumer or CPG business and are comfortable with imperfect data and fast timelines
- You can fully own a forecast end-to-end and operate independently with real accountability
- You’re confident building structure and process without adding unnecessary friction
- You’re highly analytical, detail-oriented, and grounded when priorities shift
- You’re a strong communicator who can translate data into clear insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- You’re comfortable working in ERP and planning systems; experience with Atomic, NetSuite, and/or Forecast Pro is a strong plus
- You thrive in a fast-paced, fully remote, highly cross-functional environment
