About the role

  • Remote position with a regional focus supporting customers on the West Coast (WA, OR, CA, ID, NM, UT, CO).
  • Prospect and develop new Print Services business opportunities in regional markets.
  • Leverage existing Staples customer relationships and prospect net-new accounts.
  • Research and prospect companies and schedule in-person presentations for top-level executives.
  • Identify customer needs and develop a comprehensive customer acquisition strategy.
  • Partner with Key Account Managers and Print Key Account Executives to identify opportunities within the existing customer base.
  • Set appointments with Marketing, Procurement, or Operational executives.
  • Develop tailored programs with customized pricing using a consultative selling approach.
  • Manage account sales, strategy, and account handoff in a team selling environment.
  • Achieve/exceed sales targets and earn uncapped commissions; travel 30% throughout assigned geography for customer meetings.

Requirements

  • Ability to consult/sell to the highest-level decision makers in large companies.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to successfully achieve sales targets.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 4+ years previous sales experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Previous print/marketing program sales knowledge (preferred)
  • General knowledge of products, pricing, competition, and sales objectives (preferred)
  • Previous experience using salesforce.com or a comparable sales tool. (preferred)
  • Experience selling to public sector (education, government, non-profit) (preferred)
  • Established record of success achieving sales targets (preferred)
  • Computer knowledge including extensive internet navigation and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
