About the role

  • Assisting the engineering team in designing and optimizing hydropower and dams structures.
  • Performing design and drafting tasks following industry codes and client standards.
  • Conducting modeling and analysis of structures or the flow through natural rivers, lakes, hydraulic water conveyances and control structures using relevant software tools.
  • Estimating power and energy from existing or planned hydropower plant.
  • Supporting the project teams in the development of design documentation, plans, and reports.
  • Conducting site visits as required.
  • Participating in project coordination meetings.

Requirements

  • Engineering student at an accredited Canadian university. Post graduate candidate preferred.
  • Prior work experience with hydroelectric facilities preferably within a consulting engineering or utility environment an asset
  • Knowledge of a variety of software programs used in engineering analysis and design; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Eligible to work in Canada for a work term from May-December 2026 (8 months)
