About the role

  • Provide leadership overseeing Stantec’s coastal work in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Project management for coastal projects, including scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Participate and eventually lead proposal efforts for coastal engineering projects.
  • Contribute to business development efforts in coastal engineering and planning.
  • Establish connections to coastal clients and develop relationships.
  • Mentor junior staff and oversee coastal engineering work.
  • Develop coastal adaptation plans and engineering designs.

Requirements

  • Master of Science degree in Civil, Coastal, Environmental Engineering, Planning, or related field with 10+ years of experience.
  • OR Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of experience in the relevant fields.
  • High level of understanding coastal engineering principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced in client engagement and business development in SF Bay area.
  • Strong understanding of coastal regulatory landscape in SF Bay.
  • Preferred: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California.
  • Strong project management experience and established client relationships in SF Bay area.
