About the role
- Participate in defining mandates and draft service proposals;
- Prepare project cost estimates;
- Act as project manager and/or discipline lead for projects of various sizes;
- Oversee and/or perform the design of switchgear and/or control and protection projects;
- Supervise the production of drawings, sign and seal them;
- Conduct technical studies and prepare documents such as calculation notes, specifications and reports;
- Monitor project progress against budgets and schedules using earned value principles and the cost performance index (CPI);
- Work in a team on multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with other business units;
- Build and maintain relationships with our clients and act as an ambassador on their behalf.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in electrical power and design
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
- ASP Construction card (health and safety on construction sites)
- Basic knowledge of safety in electrical installations
- Experience in consulting engineering
- Experience working on projects with Hydro-Québec
- Familiarity with ETAP, EMTP-RV, CYME, EasyPower, CDEGS, ASPEN
