About the role
- Design and draft various projects for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
- Participate in performing design calculations
- Ensure drawings comply with guidelines, code requirements, and other regulations
- Participate in the design of automatic controls (building automation) and in the commissioning of mechanical systems
- Perform multidisciplinary coordination and assist with project delivery
- Prepare drawings and specifications for ventilation, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and plumbing systems
- Contribute to the preparation and review of technical reports
- Establish and maintain client contacts to request or provide technical information related to the project
- Perform site surveys of existing installations
- Provide mentorship to junior colleagues (as appropriate according to skills)
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, the majority in consulting engineering
- Licensed/registered with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Dynamic, proactive, and focused on teamwork and collaboration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is an asset
- ASP construction card
- Good command of written and spoken French
- Knowledge of English is an asset to facilitate collaboration with internal teams outside Quebec or with clients
