About the role
- Apply superior client service skills, and project management best practices, to deliver Mission Critical (primarily data center) projects that meet project requirements
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure successful execution
- Work collaboratively with project leaders, design partners, peers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success metrics
- Lead cross-functional teams, facilitating communication and collaboration to achieve project milestones
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively
- Conduct regular project status meetings and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders
- Mentor junior staff and team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes
- Engage with external partners, including vendors and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance and integration of project design
- Establish relationships with clients, agencies, providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure design alignment with project objectives
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project requirements are met
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess project variables and develop reliable design solutions independently
- Prepare detailed design documents, specifications, and reports
- Ensure compliance with design standards and regulations
- Participate in/lead project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Successfully manage projects and tasks of a scope, complexity, and revenue budget appropriate to experience
- Meets technical, contractual, schedule, budgetary, and client service objectives for each project
- Manages and plans the production resources and workflow to produce the design documentation, drawings, and calculations required for projects
- Effectively delegate work to production support staff
- Nurtures existing client relationships and proactively pursues opportunities for new business
- Develop project proposals and participate in project pursuits
- Develop and deliver project-related client presentations
- Proactively pursues additional knowledge in related disciplines by attending available in-house and external training
- Maintain awareness of operational, technical, or regulatory changes within the A& E industry, disseminate such knowledge to staff and firm, and integrate it into existing processes and standards
- Maintain and update specification documents, technical documentation, and standards in collaboration with other technical leaders in Stantec
- Develop and maintain industry relationships and visibility with current and prospective clients, sub-consultants, and partner firms in the local and regional A/E industry

- Familiarity with and ability to apply sustainable design principles within projects while maintaining the process-driven requirements of the project

- Knowledge and experience to identify and manage items of risk that may occur on projects
- Knowledge and experience to identify and manage potential unanticipated scope
- Functional knowledge of BIM software Revit
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, and/or demonstrated skills
- Professional License is strongly preferred
