About the role
- Identify and prioritize key clients and growth opportunities.
- Win major projects across the region.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
- Mentor junior and intermediate staff and collaborate with experienced colleagues.
- Model natural hazard phenomena using industry leading software.
- Write reports and be responsible for their technical accuracy.
Requirements
- A PhD in a related discipline is preferred, but a Master's degree and demonstrated understanding, training, and experience to meet the requirements above will be considered.
- Advanced subject matter expertise in debris flows, debris flow assessments, models, and debris flow mitigation.
- Registered as, or eligible to register as a P.Eng. in Alberta and/or British Columbia.
- Demonstrated experience using geohazards models.
- Demonstrated experience designing landslide mitigation.
- Strong preference for candidates with ArcGIS Pro experience.
- Ability to work with and communicate to a team of Engineers and Geoscientists.
- Willingness to travel and participate in remote field work.
- Physically fit and able to endure hiking in rugged terrain.
- Strong communications and writing skills.
- Fluent in English.
- A valid driver’s license.
