Financial Planning and Analysis

• Own and advise the strategy, governance, and operational health of Sage, Concur, and Adaptive in partnership with finance and accounting stakeholders
• Define and maintain clear point-of-view (POV) documentation for financial systems
• Establish and run a single intake and prioritization model for finance system work
• Reduce recurring system issues through root-cause resolution across systems
• Coordinate cross-system changes, testing, and releases

Senior Finance Product Owner

DevOps Engineer

• Lead the DevOps function end-to-end for Be The People, and contribute to how applications are assembled, tested, released, and operated
• Lead creation and lifecycle management of environments, including spinning up new environments and coordinating content and data seeding
• Contribute to the design and evolution of platform architecture with an emphasis on scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency
• Establish cloud standards and manage cloud operations in cooperation with Cloud Engineering.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions as the primary orchestrator
• Establish reusable workflow templates and best practices without introducing unnecessary complexity
• Apply Infrastructure-as-Code discipline — including versioning, promotion across environments, and drift prevention — using tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, CDK, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Develop and debug Python, Ansible Playbooks, Terraform, and other infrastructure-as-code tooling
• Own or steward the release management function, acting as a go/no-go checkpoint to ensure required testing has occurred, stakeholder sign-offs are complete, and risks are clearly surfaced
• Participate in production incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident learning
• Construct a resilient ecosystem capable of quickly restoring services, and participate in developing the disaster recovery playbook for Be The People
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability for production systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or ELK Stack

• Be competent in DNS concepts and troubleshooting, even if DNS ownership resides elsewhere
• Optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS primary; familiarity with Azure and GCP a plus) for performance, reliability, and cost
• Provide architectural guidance and design recommendations for cloud assets, resource consolidation, and standardized practices
• Help shape test automation strategy, recognizing AI-assisted testing and organizational QA maturity constraints
• Ensure testing happens and is validated, rather than personally writing all tests
• Partner with the testing team on test automation, test tracking, and incorporate into the release process

Senior DevOps Engineer – Build, Environment Manager

Platform Engineer

• Establish and own a layered automated testing and validation framework across the data platform.
• Ensure platform reliability, correctness, and scalability through stronger development-time quality controls.
• Create the testing and validation foundation needed to reduce manual QA burden, improve release confidence, and mitigate business risk associated with public-facing and AI-enabled data consumption.
• Focus on establishing a reliability baseline across core data products and public-facing integrations.
• Provide ongoing shared ownership of the data platform and its continuous improvement.
• Design, implement, and maintain an automated and extensible testing framework for the data platform, including unit testing for data transformations, integration testing across datasets, models, and platform components, regression testing for output consistency, schema and data contract validation, invariant testing for core business rules, end-to-end pipeline testing, performance and scalability testing, AI prompt regression testing, AI evaluation testing, and telemetry validation for AI and data systems.
• Establish development-time safeguards to validate business logic and expected behavior prior to release.
• Contribute to quality standards, release criteria, and reliability practices for core data products and public-facing integrations.
• Partner with data engineering, analytics engineering, product, and AI/application teams to embed testing into development workflows.
• Identify structural quality gaps and recommend scalable solutions.
• Contribute to platform resilience planning, including disaster recovery and failover readiness.
• Document testing standards, practices, and reusable frameworks for cross-team adoption.

Senior Data Platform Engineer

Manager

• Lead and manage the full admissions cycle for all three RA fellowships, from application launch through final cohort selection.
• Design, refine, and improve admissions systems, workflows, and evaluation tools to ensure a consistent, high‑quality process as RA scales.
• Maintain accurate, organized candidate data across Airtable and other platforms; ensure information is complete and ready for downstream placement.
• Review applications, assess ideological alignment, and evaluate candidate strengths, experience, and growth areas.
• Coordinate and schedule 100+ interviews per cycle; ensure interviewers have the materials and context needed to evaluate candidates effectively.
• Track cohort composition to ensure a balanced mix of experience levels, skills, and geographic representation.
• Partner closely with RA’s outreach team to build strong state‑by‑state recruitment pipelines and ensure a healthy mix of applicants for each fellowship.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for applicants, providing timely, professional communication and a strong candidate experience.
