About the role

  • Perform regular cost analysis to determine the actual cost of manufactured goods and services.
  • Prepare and present cost reports, variance analyses, and operational dashboards to support management decisions.
  • Maintain and update standard costs for material, labor, and overhead; monitor standard cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation, and transaction accuracy within the ERP system.
  • Support and participate in annual physical inventory counts.
  • Execute proper cost allocation methods across departments and projects.
  • Partner with production, procurement, engineering, and project management teams to gather cost-related data and provide financial insights.
  • Support project accounting, including cost capture and revenue recognition using the percentage-of-completion method.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on cost efficiency, process enhancement, and automation.
  • Provide documentation and explanations to support internal and external financial audits.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and financial controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong analytical ability and comfort working with manufacturing cost structures.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across plant, office, and leadership teams.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Experience with cost accounting, product costing, or manufacturing estimating preferred.
  • ERP system experience and comfort working in a data-driven environment.
