About the role
- Build and grow production relationships with independent agents, broker networks, and wholesale partners
- Expand into new states by identifying, onboarding, and developing new agency partners
- Act as a trusted advisor on SSIU products, appetite, and growth opportunities
- Execute territory sales strategies in partnership with the Agency Relations Manager
- Track pipeline activity and agency performance; share insights and recommendations with leadership
- Drive agency retention through regular engagement and performance support
- Conduct in-person agency visits and deliver virtual training sessions
- Represent SSIU at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
Requirements
- 1-3 years in insurance sales, business development, agency management, MGA, or carrier distribution preferred
- Strong understanding of independent agency distribution models
- Proven relationship-builder with a consultative sales approach
- Experience supporting multi-state territories and/or market expansion
- E&S, specialty lines, or MGA experience preferred
- Comfortable with frequent travel and in-person partner engagement
