About the role

  • Act as Product Owner for Transceivers development team
  • Evolve early product concepts into features that solve users’ problems
  • Collaborate with development teams to refine and prioritise product features
  • Communicate development progress, roadmap updates, and user insights clearly
  • Develop understanding of AIS and marine navigation technology for defining solutions
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders for alignment across development teams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine innovative features for the roadmap
  • Work with QA teams to ensure product quality and release readiness
  • Train Customer Success and Support teams on new product functionality
  • Oversee creation of user guides and supporting product documentation

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience working as a product owner for products that combine hardware and software
  • Skill to decompose broad product vision to a development roadmap and sprint backlogs
  • Good understanding of best practice in Agile software delivery and the role of a product owner
  • Comfortable working at pace, managing change and removing uncertainty
  • Clear and concise communicator, bringing complex topics to non-technical audience
  • Pragmatic approach to Product Management and Agile delivery
  • Decisive by nature with a quick approach to ownership of issues
  • Able to convey requirements in both formal documentation and user story format
  • Any experience in the maritime or asset tracking domains is a bonus
  • Experience with radio communications systems or IoT products beneficial
  • Some background in software development beneficial
