About the role
- Spearhead strategic inventory control by collaborating with field leadership to establish and meet inventory goals.
- Direct the inventory replenishment process by coordinating inventory transfers and preventing stock outs.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools to provide actionable insights to field leadership.
- Collaborate with data management teams to maintain SKU data integrity.
- Drive the expediting process by reviewing key order reports and updating delivery timelines.
- Optimize in-bound freight logistics by enhancing vendor pre-paid program efficiencies.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with accounts payable and vendors.
- Foster collaborative relationships with Regional Managers, Branch Managers, and Inventory Vendors.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management or a related role with a proven track record of success.
- Direct experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a corporate environment.
- Exposure to inventory replenishment strategies within a distribution or supply chain context.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks.
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with an emphasis on prior experience in Agility Software considered advantageous.
- Strong analytical abilities to evaluate and interpret data effectively to drive decision-making processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred, with a focus on supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM): Preferred.
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP): Preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP): Preferred.
- Six Sigma Certification: Preferred.
