About the role
- Develop a comprehensive partnership ecosystem strategy for Spring Health inclusive of Channel Partnerships, Integration Partnerships, Marketplace Partnerships, Resellers, and Distribution Partners. Initial focus will be on the highest-leverage partnership motions for near-term growth, with prioritization evolving as the ecosystem matures
- Own the partnership P&L, including a quota-carrying responsibility for driving profitable, partner-sourced revenue growth. This role is accountable for forecasting, attribution, and margin performance of partner-driven revenue
- Lead Spring Health’s channel partnerships team and together:
- Identify, prioritize, and engage potential partners
- Lead negotiations to finalize partnership agreements
- Build and maintain relationships within partner organizations
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and new opportunities for strategic partnerships
- Navigate significant cross-functional dependencies with Legal, Compliance, Product, and Engineering while maintaining pace and accountability
- Build operating rigor where process and infrastructure are still evolving
- Represent Spring Health at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the company’s partnership initiatives and build industry connections
Requirements
- Must have 15+ years of successful business development and/or channel partnership experience
- 7+ years of people leadership experience in business development and/or channel partnerships, with demonstrated success leading an existing team in the near term and building or scaling the organization over time as growth demands
- Experience in the Employee Benefits ecosystem, with direct exposure to carriers, consultants, benefit technology providers, or digital health partners strongly preferred.
- A deep passion to transform the U.S. employee benefits system, especially mental health
- Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
- Entrepreneurial focus with a determination to succeed in an innovative, fast-paced environment with a high tolerance for ambiguity
- Strong background and track record of success as an individual contributor
- Humility, resourcefulness, directness, ambition, extreme comfortability with change.
