About the role

  • Own key aspects of freight invoice processing, accruals, and reconciliation
  • Partner closely with Transportation, Logistics, Treasury, and FP&A to ensure accurate, timely recording of freight costs
  • Lead cross-functional process design and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen internal controls and scale with business complexity
  • Own month-end close activities, including financial statement variance analysis, while identifying and executing process efficiencies
  • Monitor credits and funds owed to Spreetail, partnering with Treasury on cash optimization and weekly payment processing

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; industry certifications and/or graduate degree preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related business function with working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (used extensively), with experience leveraging analytics tools; SQL a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and process-improvement mindset, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent organizational and stakeholder-management skills, able to prioritize competing initiatives and manage multiple projects.
