About the role
- Lead Spotlight PA’s growth of its major individual giving in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospective donors with the capacity to give leadership gifts.
- Create and manage a relational fundraising strategy that identifies prospective major donors.
- Steward existing major donors through timely communications and impact reports.
- Work collaboratively with the team to identify current donors who could become leadership donors.
- Plan and lead small-group events and other activities in Western Pa. to engage donors.
- Collaborate on Spotlight PA’s community newsroom expansion strategy.
Requirements
- At least 5-8 years of experience in raising gifts of $25,000 to $100,000+ from individuals for important causes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and as part of a positive and productive team.
- Passion for building relationships on behalf of the organizations they serve.
- Goal-oriented, a self-starter, and able to work independently.
- Commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion on the team and through work.
