About the role
- Partner with product and engineering to understand audience product problems and propose data-driven solutions.
- Deliver solutions to challenging, large-scale problems with complexity and ambiguity independently
- Write code (Python, R, SQL, etc.) to obtain, manipulate, and analyze large datasets
- Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to key partners
- Work closely with a cross-functional team of product owners, product marketers, and engineers
- Prioritize business solutions, regardless of product area
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar data science role and a degree in a quantitative subject area
- comfortable building and maintaining large, complex datasets
- technical competence to perform advanced analytics and data extraction (using SQL, and Python or R)
- ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders and conduct nuanced discussions with engineers
- deep knowledge of statistical inference, preferably including experience with Bayesian methods
- experience in experimental design / causal inference
- experience taking a project idea and bringing it to life through self-driven scoping, planning, and stakeholder communication
- ad tech experience is a plus
