About the role
- Establish a strong leadership role within the community school
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and program oversight
- Collaborate with school leadership to maintain a focus on results
- Supervise dedicated staff and coordinate partner efforts
- Build relationships with parents, teachers, and community agencies
- Monitor student needs and track progress
- Manage program compliance, including attendance and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required with preference in Education, Psychology, or Social Work
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in urban education or community organizing with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with youth & adolescents in New York City.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, manage priorities and workflow, while maintaining a positive, patient and calm demeanor.
- Strong understanding of New York City and New York State education requirements in an urban setting.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
