About the role
- Engage and excite high school students about skilled trade careers
- Set up the custom, double-expandable trailer and operate all of the various interactive stations and simulators onboard the trailer
- Drive the event Tractor/Trailer (the "Mobile Workshop") to each event/school site
- Execute the day's event, and pack up for the next day's event in partnership with a Brand Ambassador
- Ensure the event trailer and interactive exhibits and simulators are clean, safe, operational, and event-ready
- Deliver the Be Pro Be Proud message (in partnership with the Brand Ambassador) to students
- Tear down the trailer and pack exhibits at the end of the event
Requirements
- Must be a resident of South Carolina and currently live in that state
- A valid Class A CDL driver's license with a clean driving record and a valid DOT Medical Certificate is required
- 2 years of Class A driving experience, operating 53' trailers, preferred
- Clean criminal and motor vehicle background (you're working with students on school property)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to work with high school-aged students (it helps to be "young at heart", regardless of your age)
- Ability to engage and create excitement around careers in various skilled trades
