About the role

  • Build API infrastructure with a focus on providing a great developer experience.
  • Write code that generates code, focusing on Golang and Typescript.
  • Contribute to open source repositories for SDKs of customer APIs and other developer surfaces.
  • Collaborate in a tight-knit team environment, focusing on rapid deployment and product evolution.

Requirements

  • Experience working on internal platform engineering teams, developer tools, developer productivity, or infrastructure products at scale.
  • Experience reproducing and debugging issues across different environments, languages, and frameworks you may not use day to day.
  • Generalist and polyglot engineer with an ability to pick up new frameworks quickly and a willingness to work across the stack from backend to frontend.
  • Track record of navigating unfamiliar codebases quickly — jumping into a customer's repo and figuring out what's going on doesn't faze you.
  • Experience working directly with external customers in a technical capacity — not just building behind the scenes.
  • Enthusiastic about working on technical challenges for developer-focused products and not hesitant to dive into the rabbit hole and become operational with a new piece of tech.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment — aka the shifting sands of startup land.
  • A high sense of technical ownership and a desire to delight the customer.
  • Can explain complex technical concepts clearly in a Slack message, a doc, or a customer call.
  • Comfortable context-switching between multiple customers and priorities throughout the day without losing momentum.
Benefits
  • No constraints on employee location
  • In-person collaboration roughly every quarter
