About the role
- Ensuring compliance with company and applicable standards, procedures, and customer requirements
- Participate in Design reviews as a key stakeholder in the approval.
- Participate in Testing campaigns and key review points.
- Define and perform inspections on internal and external products during development to ensure the correct standards are being applied.
- Maintaining and driving the Non-Conformance System and reporting to the customer where required.
- Establish and maintain PA/QA requirements for our Space and Materials developments and projects
- Define and implement PA and QA plans for the complete lifecycle of our programmes
- Preparing Safety Data packages for upcoming launches
- Working with suppliers to resolve issues and ensure requirements are met.
- Visiting suppliers to support audit and quality inspections
- Working with internal stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
- Develop the PA/QA and safety function with support from the executive team
- Supporting regulatory and licensing compliance - working closely with the licensing team
Requirements
- Ability to analyse problems in detail and drive towards the root cause.
- Knowledge of applicable PA and safety requirements related to the space domain (e.g. ECSS, range safety)
- Experience in spacecraft Assembly, Integration and Testing process is desirable.
- Experience in the spacecraft design process, including materials and parts quality is desirable.
- Supplier management and customer interface experience.
- Knowledge of FMEA, and Hazard analyses is desirable.
- Knowledge of flight software PA/QA processes is desirable.
- At least 5 years of equivalent PA/QA management experience
- Process improvement goal driven - aiming to improve the quality levels at Space Forge throughout and participate in lessons learned with a view to continuous improvement.
- Enforcing standards and adherence to process/quality where required and advising the Executive team of any deviations or issues.
- Good communication skills to justify/explain issues to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
