About the role

  • Manage all value stream related KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) (SQDCI)
  • Drive Southwire Culture of Zero within the manufacturing/distribution environments by demonstrating Safe and Quality conscious work habits and ensuring that all team members are following our Culture of Zero policies for Safety and Quality.
  • Co-leads recordable or significant case investigations including root-cause and corrective actions.
  • Responsible for ensuring the execution of findings of accident investigations and safety alerts within their value stream.
  • Ensure policies and processes are deployed uniformly throughout the value stream.
  • Actively leads the Southwire DHP (DAILY HUDDLE PROCESS) process and can share information related to value stream as needed.
  • Lead problem solving events and follow-up with corrective actions for completion.
  • Create a standard for value stream process and ensure entire team are properly trained, resourced, supplied, and managed to attain the objectives.
  • Drives Team Member engagement within value stream.
  • Develop a highly motivated and committed workforce with emphasis on the development of skills needed to accomplish safety, quality, on-time delivery, and product cost goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years related supervisory experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or equivalent combination of above level of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering, business or related field.
  • 5 years related supervisory experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
