About the role

  • Oversee people, processes and initiatives related to Information Technology for SouthState Bank.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to teams while partnering with business and executive stakeholders to accomplish IT objectives.
  • Assist in establishment and management of IT Technical Analysis and Testing standards and processes.
  • Assist IT Leadership and Team Members with analysis, documentation, testing and implementation of technical solutions and best practices.
  • Manage IT Technical Analysts and IT Testers; indirectly manage SIT testers and Third Party Vendors.
  • Develop and execute Project and BAU Test Strategies, Timelines and Delivery through Regression Testing and End User Acceptance across Agile and Waterfall projects.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, coach and appraise team members; enforce policies and procedures.
  • Support successful delivery of IT deliverables (Functional Design Documents, Test Plans, Defect Tracking, Implementation Plans).
  • Streamline communications between business partners and IT team members.
  • Participate in educational opportunities; maintain professional networks.

Requirements

  • Ensures compliance with all bank policies and procedures as well as state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting the team in establishment and management of IT Technical Analysis and Testing standards and processes.
  • Assisting IT Leadership and Team Members with analysis, documentation, testing and implementation of technical solutions and best practices.
  • Directly manages IT Technical Analysts and IT Testers.
  • Developing and executing Project and BAU Test Strategies, Timelines and Delivery through Regression Testing and End User Acceptance for both Agile and Waterfall projects.
  • Indirectly manages various SIT application testers as well as Third Party Vendors.
  • Recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and counseling employees.
  • Preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Develop business partnerships to build & increase buy-in across multiple lines of business and functions.
  • Establish effective relationships with Technology personnel, program and project managers, and other business partners.
  • Proven experience in Technical Writing, Technical Design and Test Planning.
  • Ability to work on Waterfall, Agile or any hybrid of technology development methods.
  • Proven experience in translating business requirements into technical design documents.
  • Proven experience in ability to manage/lead a team.
  • Ability to learn and grasp new concepts and business processes quickly.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills to include ability to multi-task and prioritize, strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment, managing multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Advanced knowledge MS Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, and SharePoint.
