About the role
- Provide quality instruction in each assigned course within the approved academic program curriculum.
- Participate in institution/school/department committees.
- Respond timely to information requests from various stakeholders.
- Promote appropriate standards of linguistic expression.
- Ensure all academic program requirements and forms of documentation are completed as required for each student.
- Ensure all faculty expectations are met on a weekly basis.
- Manage all classroom activities and be accessible to students.
- Monitor educational and professional literature for best practices.
- Assist with curriculum and policy changes as requested.
- Participate in professional development activities – minimum of 1 per year.
- Adhere to all institutional and School/Department policies as described in the job description or employee/faculty handbook.
Requirements
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in the discipline or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in discipline.
- Associate Degree Programs: Doctorate or Master’s degree in discipline or Master’s degree with 18 in discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in discipline may be accepted for programs not normally designed for transfer to a bachelor’s degree.
- Graduate Degree Programs: Doctorate/Terminal degree in discipline.
- Prior teaching experience and/or practical/clinical experience in the discipline preferred.
- Documentation of applicable licenses/certifications is required.
