Learning and Development

• Supervise and support instructional designers, including scheduling, mentoring, performance feedback, and professional development to ensure high-quality output.
• Manage the planning, prioritization, and delivery of instructional design projects to ensure timely completion and alignment with academic goals.
• Provide day-to-day support to instructional designers and faculty throughout the course design process, ensuring clear communication, efficient workflow, and alignment with instructional design best practices.
• Promote and support evidence-based design practices, accessibility standards, and the use of instructional technologies to enhance the learning experience.
• Maintain and refine workflows, templates, and design standards to ensure consistency and efficiency in course production.
• Use feedback and analytics to assess course quality, identify improvement areas, and inform future instructional design efforts.
• Explore and recommend new tools, technologies, and strategies to strengthen teaching and learning.
• Assist senior leadership in implementing strategic initiatives and departmental projects related to instructional design and technology.

Instructional Design and Technology Manager

• Partner with subject matter experts to conduct needs analysis, define learning objectives, and develop instructional materials (storyboards, curricula, assessments)
• Apply instructional models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Agile, adult learning theory)
• Develop interactive learning experiences, e-learning modules, instructor-led guides, videos, and job aids
• Upload and manage content in LMS platforms, set up user rosters, and track learner progress
• Use assessments, learner feedback, and data to measure course effectiveness and recommend improvements
• Work cross-functionally with SMEs, instructional technologists, and stakeholders
• Take on additional instructional design projects as assigned

Instructional Designer

Director

• Support the Operations Manager for Online Faculty Affairs in managing online adjunct faculty, ensuring adherence to institutional policies and expectations
• Oversee adjunct classroom instructional delivery, including course setup, active engagement, gradebook management, timely grading, quality feedback, and accurate final grade submission
• Provide onboarding and ongoing professional development for adjunct faculty, including orientation, teaching strategies, and clarification of faculty expectations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for adjunct faculty regarding classroom concerns, policy interpretation, and communication
• Assist in facilitating virtual group and one-on-one meetings with adjunct faculty for training, updates, and performance support
• Lead department-level initiatives to encourage adjunct collaboration and foster a sense of belonging within the department and institution
• Provide regular updates on faculty performance to the Operations Manager for Online Faculty Affairs and assist with annual performance observations
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Coordinator of Faculty Scheduling to provide feedback that ensures quarterly schedules maximize the use of high-performing faculty
• Contribute to department initiatives, attend academic leadership meetings, and complete other duties as assigned

Director of Faculty Engagement, General Education

Operations

• Serve as the primary hiring manager for all Health Sciences online adjunct faculty, overseeing recruiting, job postings, application reviews, interviews, and hiring decisions
• Partner with directors of faculty engagement to ensure comprehensive onboarding, training, and timely support for new adjunct faculty
• Oversee scheduling process with support from a coordinator of faculty scheduling, ensuring accurate and timely course assignments
• Lead efforts to evaluate teaching effectiveness through annual observations, class oversight, and continuous feedback
• Develop and implement streamlined workflows for recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance tracking
• Analyze course-level and faculty performance data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and lead faculty professional development initiatives
• Collaborate with academic leadership, instructional design, and faculty support staff to implement initiatives that strengthen teaching quality and student outcomes
• Non-teaching position focused on operational leadership and faculty support

• The Adjunct Faculty Member will provide online instruction for courses needed in Effective Speaking on a quarter-by-quarter appointment.
• Candidates must evidence the following: Education Doctoral degree in the discipline preferred. An earned master's degree in the discipline or an earned master’s or doctoral degree and satisfactory completion of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline will be considered.
