The Principal Public Procurement Training Executive is responsible for generating revenue by representing Sourcewell’s enterprise solutions.
This position is directly responsible for reaching profit and margin goals by developing strong relationships with public agencies and delivering subject matter expertise related to the procurement lifecycle.
This position will be actively involved in mentoring external public procurement decision influencers and presenting information at public events.
This person will serve as a mentor and trainer to others in the team and will represent Government Accounts at internal and external meetings.
Support the identification of learning needs for public agencies by analyzing performance and competence data to identify gaps in relation to required levels.
Run training programs for specific areas and help to prepare training content.
Involves following established procedures and working under the supervision of senior colleagues.
Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others.
Conduct routine tasks contributing to defining and implementing operations standards and specifications according to the organization's established protocols.
Provide comprehensive and increasingly broad support to a wide range of public agencies, offering assistance in complex situations, and enhancing the impact on public agency success.
Carry out compliance risk management within specific operational areas, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements.
Build effective working relationships within public agencies and contribute to the management of the partnering relationship, delivering high-quality professional services within established routines or as part of an agreed project.
Create, organize, and maintain files containing the correspondence and records of a senior colleague.
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study AND five (5) years of experience in public procurement, public works, business services, or other directly related experience, OR A combination of related post-secondary and/or professional education/training and demonstrated relevant work experience equivalent to a total of nine (9) years.
Five (5) years of public speaking and/or presentation experience
Business process and operational knowledge in supply chain, and/or public procurement
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Public procurement, business management or other directly related professional certification
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in public agencies, procurement, facilities management, public works within a municipal government, or K-12/higher education settings.
