About the role
- Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term supply plans aligned with demand forecasts and production capacity.
- Be accountable for short-horizon production planning across one or two value streams.
- Support medium- to long-term production and capacity planning activities.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging to meet production schedules.
- Monitor and adjust plans in response to changes in demand, production constraints, or supplier performance.
- Manage safety stock levels and Minimum Level of Replenishment (MLOR) to minimize write-offs and stock-outs.
- Track inventory accuracy and reconcile variances across ERP systems.
- Support and actively participate in the S&OP process.
- Communicate with Customer Service, Commercial teams, and customers on supply plans and risks.
- Work closely with Demand Planning and Purchasing teams to ensure delivery to plan.
- Partner with Operations to ensure execution and attainment of production plans.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency.
- Support initiatives to reduce waste, improve service levels, and optimize working capital.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on KPIs such as service levels, forecast accuracy, and inventory health.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for decision making.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in inventory management within manufacturing or FMCG environments; on-ground/in-factory experience highly desirable.
- Advanced supply planning and production scheduling capability.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (M3 highly preferred).
- Strong inventory management and data analysis skills.
- Proven experience in supply planning within FMCG or similar manufacturing environments.
- Experience in high-risk food manufacturing environments (red meat and/or seafood).
- Preferably with exposure to cold storage operations and shelf-life management within food manufacturing.
- Preferably with experience using Power BI for reporting, analysis, and performance tracking.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
