play a pivotal role responsible for the application design, development, testing and deployment of mission critical applications for SEI
design and develop modifications to our custom developed Sophia application
work closely with business analysts, key users, and the project team to assess business needs and determine/implement technology solutions using an agile methodology
convert specifications and procedures of moderate to high complexity into application and software solutions
adhere to and promote Agile development methods
recommend technical approaches that will help to deliver reliable an efficient code
work within a fast-paced Agile development environment
design and develop robust solutions
collaborate with project team members and other information technology colleagues to create future product iterations from defined requirements
participate in and develop new software releases, work with QA in creating test plans, and assist in creating implementation plans
troubleshoot and recommend solutions to existing production issues
provide level 3 support of development after implementation of enterprise applications
participate in the ongoing development of technical best practices

Requirements

Five plus (5+) years experience in web application design, development, and implementation
Five plus (5+) years experience with the following required: Ruby, JavaScript, Responsive Web Design
2 plus (2+) years of working with AWS/GCP Infrastructure
Experience with Test Driven Development
Experience with Automation
Experience with Jira
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
AWS/GCP certifications are a plus
