About the role
- Own the product backlog—define and prioritize user stories, write clear acceptance criteria, and ensure the development team always has well-scoped, actionable work.
- Gather and analyze business requirements to plan enhancements, system upgrades, and new product launches, translating them into tasks that drive process improvements and technical progress.
- Lead weekly sprint planning and prioritization to ensure the right features are being built at the right time and for the right reasons.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment across developers, functional leaders, project managers, and senior leadership—keeping project direction well-defined and on schedule.
- Communicate project expectations clearly and in a timely manner; deliver product demonstrations to stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
- Proactively manage project dependencies, risks, change requests, and milestone deliverables to minimize disruption and maintain momentum.
- Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility and shared understanding of deliverables.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration and transparency by championing well-defined processes and keeping teams oriented to shared goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5+ years related work experience in automotive insurance products, product ownership or business analyst
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and present at multiple levels of an organization.
- Experience leading projects using Agile development methodology
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet, Asana, Microsoft Project) and MS Office suite
- Highly adaptable to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Actively follows AI and technical trends and applies new knowledge to the role.
- Familiarity with road hazard, automotive mechanical, or insurance industries.
