About the role

  • Lead the Business Partnering function and team, whilst collaborating with the finance and control teams across the following:
  • Partner with business unit leaders to review results and provide financial and data insights and guide the financial and operational teams on data requirements
  • Commercial Decision Support for vertical and horizontal leaders and influence key decisions with data-driven financial advice.
  • Provide real-time financial analysis to support pricing, contracts, investments, and initiatives.
  • Develop robust financial models to evaluate scenarios, risks, and opportunities and incorporate sensitivity analysis and simulations
  • Analyse and report on vertical and horizontal financial and operational KPIs, enabling proactive performance management.
  • Prepare, review and analyse actual results versus budget and forecast by horizontal and vertical for individual leaders, management and group reporting
  • Preparation of horizontal and vertical budgets and forecasts.
  • Drive budget and forecast accuracy and ability to prepare rolling 13 month forecasts.
  • Manage the people budget, forecast and actual model for timely reporting and forecasts.
  • Partner with the People team and horizontal leaders to make quick and informed workforce planning decisions.
  • Understand and analyze margins and profitability across the verticals.
  • Understand and analyze cost structures and margins across products, services, clients, geographies, projects & competitors and seek and influence opportunities for improvement
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue & profit growth, and process improvement
  • Partner with business units to execute efficiency programs
  • Improve financial understanding within business teams through coaching, support and reporting tools.
  • Flash revenue and GP reporting
  • Reverse due diligence and M&A support as needed to FP&A and Group Accounting Team
  • Payment approvals where required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years finance experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years team leadership experience
  • Executive Level stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills across executive, product, creative and commercial teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills, and interpretation of data through Excel
  • Excellent presentation of financial information
  • Commercial finance skills
  • Management accounting skills
  • Strong relationship management
  • People management and leadership skills
  • Problem solving and ability to work in the ‘grey’
  • High growth technology/ founder led experience
  • Team player and leader who is collaborative, but also ready and willing to roll up sleeves to get things done
  • Desirable - marketplace industry experience is an advantage
  • Desirable - experience of working in a PE / listed company environment
