About the role

  • Drive strategic growth initiatives for the business unit in alignment with strategic imperatives.
  • Define strategic objectives with potential counterparts: develop approaches, structure agreements, and lead negotiations.
  • Provide strategic leadership: define and execute the strategic roadmap for the business, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
  • Project management: oversee execution of large-scale internal and external projects, including transformation initiatives and footprint analysis.
  • Market analysis and insights: conduct market research and financial analysis to support strategic decisions and identify new business opportunities.
  • Innovation and growth: propose forward-thinking solutions to address market challenges, including new partnerships, projects, and alternative business models.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in business or chemical engineering (MBA preferred) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in M&A or strategy consulting.
  • Proven track record in M&A transactions (chemicals, commodities, process industry or similar), business development, and project management.
  • Demonstrated project leadership skills, directing both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of financial metrics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexible and organized, with the ability to deliver on time and under pressure.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to build relationships across the organization.
