About the role
- Drive strategic growth initiatives for the business unit in alignment with strategic imperatives.
- Define strategic objectives with potential counterparts: develop approaches, structure agreements, and lead negotiations.
- Provide strategic leadership: define and execute the strategic roadmap for the business, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
- Project management: oversee execution of large-scale internal and external projects, including transformation initiatives and footprint analysis.
- Market analysis and insights: conduct market research and financial analysis to support strategic decisions and identify new business opportunities.
- Innovation and growth: propose forward-thinking solutions to address market challenges, including new partnerships, projects, and alternative business models.
Requirements
- Relevant degree in business or chemical engineering (MBA preferred) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in M&A or strategy consulting.
- Proven track record in M&A transactions (chemicals, commodities, process industry or similar), business development, and project management.
- Demonstrated project leadership skills, directing both internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of financial metrics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Flexible and organized, with the ability to deliver on time and under pressure.
- Team-oriented with the ability to build relationships across the organization.
