Accountant

• Own Order to Cash
• Validate that billing milestones, subscription start dates, and one-time fees are invoiced per contract terms and recognized in the correct period in accordance with ASC 606
• Own the full AR cycle: customer contract setup in accounting system (Campfire), invoicing, cash application, and collections
• Monitor aging AR and drive timely follow-up - you don’t wait to be asked
• Resolve billing disputes and discrepancies directly with customers and internal teams
• Flag cash flow risks early; communicate proactively, and bring context and a point of view when you do
• Review and code AP and corporate card transactions; identify prepaid items and budget anomalies, maintain amortization schedules through close
• Reconcile material accounts monthly: cash, payroll, accruals, prepaids, and investment accounts; monitor daily cash activity for accuracy
• Perfect our revenue reconciliations (Invoice MRR P&L Revenue); flag variances before they hit reporting
• Maintain vendor records; track and flag contract renewals with a view toward cost efficiency
• Prepare supporting journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux commentary for monthly and quarterly packages
• Manage and review the work of an accounting assistant (contractor); you set the standard for quality and turnaround
• Build processes that are repeatable, auditable, and not dependent on any one person
• Use AI tools to move faster and do more; that’s how we operate and expect you to operate that way too
• Identify what can be delegated vs. what requires your judgment

• Take broad product and business direction and turn it into shipped, high-impact product work
• Make strong product and technical decisions with limited hand-holding
• Use AI tools across the development lifecycle while maintaining ownership of product judgment, technical decisions, and production quality
• Lead projects from problem definition through scoping, implementation, rollout, verification, and iteration
• Partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and customer success to scope, plan, build, launch, and iterate on product improvements
• Build and scale enterprise-grade product experiences that account for permissions, workflows, edge cases, reporting, reliability, supportability, auditability, and operational complexity
• Bring strong intuition for what makes web applications successful in production, including performance, accessibility, observability, responsive design, and graceful degradation
• Mentor peers by modeling pragmatic engineering judgment, strong ownership, and customer-focused execution

• Dive in from day one, building and improving our platform across the stack
• Use AI-assisted development tools to understand code, implement changes, debug issues, write tests, and verify behavior
• Take on the full range of product work needed to improve the customer experience, from new features and fixes to QA, rollout, and follow-through
• Work closely with product, design, operations, customer success, and engineering to make sure what we ship solves the actual customer problem
• Leave product areas better than you found them by improving usability, reliability, data quality, and operational workflows along the way
