About the role

  • Support and enhance Azure GovCloud environments
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of Azure GovCloud workloads
  • Focus on IaC, automation, migrations, and security hardening
  • Deploy and maintain infrastructure with Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure CLI
  • Build and maintain Azure DevOps and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Apply monthly patches to NIPR/SIPR VMs and monitor Azure workloads
  • Manage Azure Virtual Desktop, API Management, Application Gateway, and Blob/File storage
  • Support Microsoft Defender for Cloud, ACAS, and STIG scanning
  • Draft and update SOPs, runbooks, and environment checklists
  • Work with the Lead Cloud Engineer on architecture reviews

Requirements

  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering, Science, or IT
  • 3 - 5 years in cloud engineering, 2+ in Azure GovCloud (IL5/IL6)
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including VMs, Azure Portal, Azure CLI, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM)
  • Familiarity with NIPR/SIPR environments and IL5/IL6 compliance
