About the role
- Support and enhance Azure GovCloud environments
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of Azure GovCloud workloads
- Focus on IaC, automation, migrations, and security hardening
- Deploy and maintain infrastructure with Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure CLI
- Build and maintain Azure DevOps and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Apply monthly patches to NIPR/SIPR VMs and monitor Azure workloads
- Manage Azure Virtual Desktop, API Management, Application Gateway, and Blob/File storage
- Support Microsoft Defender for Cloud, ACAS, and STIG scanning
- Draft and update SOPs, runbooks, and environment checklists
- Work with the Lead Cloud Engineer on architecture reviews
Requirements
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering, Science, or IT
- 3 - 5 years in cloud engineering, 2+ in Azure GovCloud (IL5/IL6)
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including VMs, Azure Portal, Azure CLI, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM)
- Familiarity with NIPR/SIPR environments and IL5/IL6 compliance
