About the role
- Support production operations on multi-platform aircraft programs
- Collect information directly on aircraft
- Understand and resolve airframe (structure) and systems issues by providing technical support to production
- Develop dispositions in response to Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) raised by Quality
- Ensure the application of standard practices when developing repairs
- Design effective and optimal repairs to address anomalies identified on aircraft in production
- Ensure the maintenance of aircraft quality, compliance and safety when developing repairs
- Help minimize the risk of product or component failures and ensure the safety of end users (passengers)
- Maintain accurate documentation of all actions taken to resolve non-conformities
- Work closely with other disciplines such as stress/structural analysis, materials and processes, systems, flight sciences, design, methods, quality and operations to meet the company’s business objectives
- Participate in projects aimed at increasing productivity, reducing waste and improving financial performance
- Understand the AS9100 standard requirements related to the responsibilities of this role
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent training
- Experience in the aerospace/aeronautics sector
- Knowledge of airframe structures and technical system installation requirements
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience working with CATIA V5
- Bilingual in spoken and written English and French for frequent communications with anglophone collaborators (approx. 50%)
