Backend Engineer

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable PHP code (primarily Symfony) for backend services and APIs.
• Implement and optimize database queries (MySQL, Redis).
• Build and maintain integrations with external systems (POS, payment gateways, delivery platforms).
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly.
• Contribute to sprint commitments and feature delivery aligned with the product roadmap.
• Support junior/intermediate developers by reviewing code, giving feedback, and sharing best practices.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies to align with Product, QA, and Frontend teams.
• Help establish coding standards and reinforce architectural best practices.
• Communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders and restate requirements in actionable terms.
• Contribute to deployment processes (CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket).
• Support environment setup and maintenance using Docker, Ansible, and AWS.
• Monitor and improve system performance (query optimization, caching strategies, load handling).
• Ensure application security (SQL injection prevention, authentication/authorization, vulnerability patching).
• Collaborate with QA and Ops to ensure stable, scalable releases.
