About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the development of an automotive feature as the technical contact point for external and internal stakeholders
- Understand customer needs and applicable standards and translate them into actionable system requirements for software development teams
- Drive consistent requirements, interfaces and implementation decisions
- Assess and clarify functional customer and system requirements with system architecture and requirements managers
- Represent the feature area in technical customer discussions and support RFI and RFQ analysis
- Facilitate technical solution proposals for effort, timing, risk and resource planning
- Coordinate use-case and feature development along the roadmap with SW Lead, Test Team, Project Manager, Architect and other Feature Owners
- Derive, prioritize and align implementation tasks for system architects, requirement engineers, SW leads and testers
- Ensure consistency across requirements, architecture, implementation and verification
- Provide technical assessments, recommend solution paths and escalate open topics
- Evaluate non-functional requirements and align them with internal stakeholders
- Review and technically accept customer requirements based on high-level system architecture
- Perform requirement engineering tasks in justified cases requiring specific domain depth
- Confirm functional release readiness to Project Management through final customer approval
- Support Customer Solutions, Sales and Advanced Engineering during concept phases, MVP acquisition activities and joint OEM development programs
- Build and maintain relationships with OEM Feature/Product Owners and technical counterparts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent
- Knowledge of product development engineering practices for embedded systems in the automotive area
- Technical knowledge of embedded electronics products, hardware and/or software
- Understanding of system engineering practices
- Very good oral and written communication skills in English
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience
- Ability to travel abroad as needed, up to 10%
- Participation in a technical interview
- Possibility to participate in a technical test
- Preferred experience with SW Update Feature functionality, including OTA or Ethernet software updates, secure download, verification, installation, activation and status reporting
- Nice to have experience writing technical requirements and higher-level architectural designs
- MSc degree is nice to have
- Familiarity with A-SPICE process for the automotive domain is nice to have
- Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence and Polarion is nice to have
