About the role
- Identify legal risks associated with the company's business activities and establish risk mitigation strategies
- Assess and manage legal risks related to contracts, intellectual property, employment, litigation, and other areas of potential legal exposure
- Ensure the international holding company complies with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements across jurisdictions; monitor legislative changes and update internal policies
- Develop and implement strategies to protect the company's intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets) and address infringements
- Develop and execute a legal strategy for the international holding company aligned with long-term goals (including opening new entities with mitigated legal risks)
- Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, coordinate external audits, and collaborate with legal and internal compliance teams for regulatory adherence
- Develop and execute financial strategy, oversee financial planning and budgeting, and analyze financial performance with subsidiaries
- Implement financial risk management practices, manage currency exposure and geopolitical risks, and oversee treasury management including cash flow forecasting and hedging strategies
- Lead and mentor a team of finance and legal professionals and provide guidance across the international holding company structure
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a CLO/VP Legal position in international companies
- English - C2+ (preferably bilingual, optional knowledge of Russian)
- In-depth understanding of business law, contract law, employment law, intellectual property law, and other relevant legal areas
- Knowledge of industry regulations and laws affecting the organization's operations (regulatory compliance)
- Ability to manage legal disputes and litigation; work closely with external legal counsel
- Skills in identifying legal risks and developing/implementing risk management strategies
- Familiarity with financial software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analytics tools
- Leadership experience managing finance and legal teams
