About the role
- Inform and implement the HEOR strategy for assigned TA or product (s) across all SOBI commercial territories
- Be an integral part of the overall Global Patient Access group, securing tight liaison and collaboration with other members of the group, both globally and locally in-country
- Work closely with the in-country patient access leads to ensure that that country level health outcome and value tactical plans align with the global Patient Access strategic plans for each brand
- Support Global HEOR business objectives and budgetary plans with a 3-5 year perspective through HEOR evidence generation, synthesis, dissemination, communication and refinement
- Identify, design, develop, and lead Global HEOR projects including leading strategies for prospective and retrospective protocol development, economic models, scientific publications, and vendor supplied research proposals in assigned therapeutic area for both in-line and development products
- Closely monitor the changing healthcare and economic landscape to anticipate and address potential impact on the business
- Play a key role in Global HEOR business planning process that is aligned with the therapeutic area/product strategy and contribute to the brand Global Value Dossier in line with local HTA needs for the assigned therapy areas
- Represent SOBI at external HEOR conferences and meetings
Requirements
- Post-graduate degree in Health Economics, Economics, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine or Epidemiology combined with a minimum of 5-7 years experience in Health Economics Outcome Research within the pharmaceutical industry, or related HEOR consultancies
- Deep understanding and knowledge of European HTA, reimbursement systems and health economics/outcomes research
- Good working knowledge of Market Access and expertise in leveraging outcomes data in the appropriate clinical context
- Understanding of regulatory bodies (EMA, MHRA, FDA…) and major HTA bodies (EFPIA, NICE, AMNOG, HAS, TLV, AIFA) as they relate to HEOR and Patient Access
- Demonstrated interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills working within cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong self-starting capabilities; Creative “out-of-the-box” thinker with experience managing multiple brands
- Excellent spoken and written English and readiness to travel approximately 20% travel required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation and organizational skills
- Ideally: Knowledge of EU and emerging markets health care systems and experience in outcomes research, pharmacoeconomics, health economics, clinical research, epidemiology and health policy
- Experience in working with co-promotion or business partners
- Experience with orphan drugs or speciality pharmaceuticals
