About the role

  • Build reusable, scalable report templates
  • Implement advanced DAX measures aligned to standardized KPI definitions
  • Optimize performance of semantic models and reports
  • Support migration of legacy reports into Fabric/Power BI
  • Design and maintain enterprise Power BI semantic models
  • Implement star schema models using conformed dimensions
  • Collaborate with Senior Analytics Engineer on schema design
  • Ensure consistent use of conformed dimensions and measures
  • Avoid metric duplication and shadow calculations
  • Support RLS implementation and governance controls
  • Tune DAX and model performance
  • Implement incremental refresh where appropriate
  • Maintain alignment with SOX-related controls and documentation standards
  • Follow Dev/Test/Prod deployment processes
  • Contribute to BI standards and best practices
  • Translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Retail, and other stakeholders
  • Support KPI clarification and validation
  • Improve report usability and adoption

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Power BI development
  • Advanced DAX (CALCULATE, context transition, time intelligence, optimization)
  • Strong understanding of star schema and dimensional modeling
  • Experience building and managing semantic models
  • Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS)
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with Power BI CI/CD, including deployment pipelines, version control, and Dev/Test/Prod promotion.
  • Experience working in Azure or Microsoft Fabric environment
  • Understanding of medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
  • Ability to work within governed data models
  • Familiarity with SCD concepts and fact grain principles
  • Awareness of data governance and compliance considerations.
