Software Engineer

• Work directly with stakeholders and team members to gather and refine requirements for applications
• Evaluate potential impacts of processes and systems and factor these influences into solutions
• Conceptualize, design, code and test major enterprise level applications

Web Application Developer

Engineering Manager

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers delivering domain-owned data products.
• Foster a culture of ownership, quality, and collaboration aligned with data mesh principles.
• Define team goals, measure performance, and support career development.
• Partner with the Director, Data & Analytics to define and execute SNDL’s Azure and Microsoft Fabric data architecture.
• Own architectural decisions including Lakehouse vs Warehouse, ingestion vs shortcuts, and performance optimization.
• Establish standards for data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) to ensure consistency across domains and analytics use cases.
• Define and enforce best practices for CI/CD, version control, environment separation (Dev/Test/Prod), testing, and monitoring within Fabric and Azure DevOps.
• Design and implement scalable governance controls, including data catalogs, lineage, security, and access management.
• Design and build Fabric Lakehouses and Warehouses using Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Develop ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using Fabric Data Factory, Fabric Notebooks (Spark/Python), and T-SQL.
• Implement OneLake-centric integration patterns, including Fabric Shortcuts for Dynamics 365 F&O, Dataverse, and other enterprise sources.
• Lead and contribute to dimensional and analytical data modeling to support Power BI semantic models.
• Act as a control owner for analytics data processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls, SOX, and audit requirements.
• Work with the team’s business analyst, data product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical deliverables and robust data products.
• Develop and promote a self-service analytics culture by enabling business teams to easily access and use trusted data products.
• Engage with application development teams to provision data products that serve SNDL’s application (ex. e-commerce) data needs.

Data Engineering Manager

Sales

• Build and maintain strong relationships with provincial board buyers, providing insights and data to support portfolio strategy
• Own monthly and quarterly budget delivery for assigned provinces, partnering with Provincial Operations, Regional Sales Managers, and key account teams to close gaps
• Manage master data, SKU portfolios, and market changes to ensure accuracy and timely execution
• Support weekly replenishment with provincial boards and manage ongoing relationships with provincial board customers and distributors to ensure effective planning and execution
• Partner with Provincial Operations on purchase order coordination with planning and fulfillment teams, including managing timing constraints and market risks (e.g., long-term out-of-stocks, sales initiatives)
• Support Return to Vendor processes and identify opportunities for process improvement across assigned markets
• Lead and support a remote direct report responsible for government retail product education and provincial sales support in Quebec and the Atlantic markets (based in Montreal)
• Support demand planning and sales forecasting processes for assigned provinces
• Manage product exits and transitions, ensuring alignment with approved forecasts and market plans
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and key account teams on forecasts
• Participate in innovation and new product development planning to support successful market launches
