About the role

  • You’ll play a central role in keeping our IT environment stable, secure, and scalable as the company continues to grow. You’ll work closely with the Head of IT and stakeholders across the business to ensure critical systems and processes run smoothly, and to improve them where they don’t.
  • Owning and maintaining day-to-day IT operations across our cloud platforms, user environments, devices, and core systems
  • Managing vulnerability assessment, patching, and remediation processes end to end, including investigation, reporting, and risk tracking
  • Deploying, configuring, and managing laptops and other assets across the business, ensuring a smooth and consistent onboarding and offboarding experience
  • Supporting identity, access, and device management throughout the employee lifecycle, including administration of Microsoft 365, Azure, and related tooling
  • Assisting with compliance, governance, audit, and resilience activities, including vendor management and disaster recovery testing
  • Supporting and delivering IT projects and improvements, such as automation initiatives, knowledge base changes, and service enhancements
  • Producing and delivering internal IT or information security training and providing hands-on user support when deeper investigation or ownership is required

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in a hands-on IT engineering, support, or similar role, with exposure to growing or fast-changing environments
  • Are comfortable owning technical work end to end, from investigation through to delivery, rather than just responding to tickets
  • Have hands-on experience working with modern IT platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, identity, device, or vulnerability management tooling
  • Understand how IT operations, security, and service reliability need to scale as a business grows, and why structure and process matter
  • Have awareness of information security frameworks and controls (e.g., ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials), and how they translate into practical policies, processes, and user behaviour
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, and are comfortable working with people at all levels of the business, including senior stakeholders
  • Are happy working with ambiguity, changing priorities, and evolving processes, and know when to ask for help
  • Value ownership and accountability, bring a practical problem-solving mindset, and are keen to keep learning and developing
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar (preferred)
