Account Manager

• Develop business opportunities through research and cold calling to sell a comprehensive range of electronic components
• Utilize lead generation tools (such as CRM, Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, etc) to generate individual leads without territory restrictions
• Prepare POs to work with the purchasing team for component sourcing at competitive pricing according to RFQs
• Revitalize dormant accounts by promoting excess inventory at special pricing
• Maintain relationships with customers to further business opportunities through the entire account
• Remain in contact with the operations team to update customers regarding inspection processes and part statuses

• Monitor solar market trends and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders
• Develop, establish, build and maintain solid vendor relationships
• Locate new suppliers while strengthening relationships and pushing out credit terms with existing suppliers
• Maintain and distribute accurate, real-time pricing data across the organization
• Collaborate with the sales team to align sourcing activities with revenue goals and customer requirements
• Required sourcing, price negotiation and expedition of purchase orders (POs)
• Lead end-to-end purchasing processes, including sourcing, price negotiating and expediting of purchase orders

Solar Purchasing Specialist

• Provide daily operational support to the sales team by managing RFQs, preparing formal proposals and ensuring data in the CRM is accurate and up-to-date
• Lead the end-to-end administrative process for sales orders, including the creation and tracking of POs and SOs to ensure on-time fulfillment and customer satisfaction
• Be the primary liaison between sales, purchasing and operations to verify inventory availability, inspections and shipping timelines
• Manage the onboarding of new accounts with excellent follow through and detail tracking
• Maintain proactive communication with existing customers regarding order statuses, tracking numbers and logistics updates
• Ensure all transactions adhere to Smith’s standard SOPs and trade requirements
