About the role

  • Help deliver greenhouse gas calculations and reporting of Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions in accordance with the methodologies of the GHG Protocol and similar standards
  • Support clients in accordance with Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) guidelines
  • Assist clients in preparation of submissions to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
  • Develop Net Zero Carbon strategies and Net Zero Roadmap modelling
  • Support clients in developing targets according to the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
  • Identify and quantify energy efficiency and carbon reduction opportunities on client sites through energy and decarbonisation site surveys and audits
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarising findings and recommendations for clients
  • Advise organisations on best practices and environmental legislation

Requirements

  • Qualified to degree-level or higher, within a relevant environmental science, science or engineering-related subject
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative as well as working effectively as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate directly and confidently with clients
  • Computer literacy including familiarity with Microsoft Office, in particular MS Excel
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail
  • Excellent time-management and task prioritisation
  • Demonstrable interest in developing a career in the environmental, energy and/or sustainability consulting sector
  • Desirable: Member of a relevant technical professional body (e.g., ISEP/Energy Institute), with a desire to work towards Chartered or Practitioner status
  • Past experience working in the environmental, sustainability or energy sector
  • Full UK driving licence
