About the role

  • Ensure a successful transition of the Marketplace from its current state and components, primarily driven by upsell mechanics, to a mixed model in which at least 50% of total revenue is generated by new users.
  • Build direct acquisition funnel(s) for new users to the Marketplace, positioning it as an entry point into the broader Luminar ecosystem (Desktop editor + mobile editor + web editor + education + marketplace + other).
  • Within the first 6 months, achieve more than 10% of revenue generated by new users.
  • Together with the CMO and Product team, migrate the existing Marketplace to an e-commerce engine (WordPress / Magento / or similar). Target completion: by the end of 2026.
  • Together with the Education Product Manager, relaunch the existing Education direction, aligning it with user needs and community-building goals by Q4 2026.
  • Build a reporting and analytics system to evaluate Marketplace business and channel performance, with autonomous weekly analytics and access for the CMO and executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Experienced marketplace marketer — clear understanding of why GMV matters, how to improve liquidity, how to maintain a healthy demand/supply ratio, and how to optimize acquisition efficiency on both sides of a two-sided marketplace.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — initiative, ownership in decision-making, and hypothesis-driven experimentation.
  • Strong analytical skills — deep understanding of product and business unit economics, with hands-on experience using Tableau, Amplitude, AppsFlyer, and reporting tools from Meta, TikTok, and Google.
  • Performance marketing expert — advanced proficiency in at least one traffic acquisition channel.
  • Leadership — ability to coach and challenge own team as well as acquisition teams; readiness to lead the largest marketing sub-department.
  • ROI-driven with a product mindset — strong sense of product value, focus on real impact rather than simply “buying traffic at a profit.”
  • AI literacy — advanced proficiency with two or more AI tools applied to marketing, research, productivity, or related areas.
  • Agility and speed — readiness to adapt to market changes and effectively communicate those changes to the team.
  • Teamwork and collaboration — strong cross-functional collaboration with other marketing sub-department leaders, product and analytics teams, and the engineering team.
