About the role

  • SkyCell builds hardware, smart software and services to improve the pharmaceutical supply chain
  • Platform used by global pharmaceutical companies and logistics providers for transport risk assessment and visibility
  • Monolithic application built on MySQL, PHP and Symfony; frontend largely Twig with some Vue.js and vanilla JS
  • Maintain fully automated build pipeline (Jenkins) and use Ansible for deployment; extensive use of Behat for testing
  • Backend development: design, develop and maintain features in the Validaide platform
  • Cross-functional collaboration with QA, product owners and other developers
  • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
  • Write and maintain automated tests for backend and integrated features (PHPUnit, Behat)
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Ensure solutions align with regulatory requirements such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience, with solid foundations in PHP, Symfony, and MySQL
  • Comfortable working in a company that’s growing fast: previous experience in startups/scaleups will be highly valued
  • A team player, well versed in English, with some experience in team lead or ambition to do so
  • Looking to contribute to something meaningful in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
  • Pragmatic with regards to our product and tech stack
  • Not afraid of learning: having experience or interested in learning new technologies like Java, Quarkus, and PostgreSQL
  • Based in the Netherlands, willing to grow with us for a longer period of time
