About the role
- The Technical Content Writer takes care of the creation and distribution of various tech-related content pieces that help educate and engage existing or potential clients, and increase SiteGround’s product and brand awareness. You have a technical background, but are skilled in explaining technical problems to people who don't, and are versed in writing in a clear and thorough way that anyone can understand.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Knowledge Base and Tutorial content that meets organizational standards;
- Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging educational content;
- Break down complex technical problems into steps and directions that set our users up for success;
- Work together with our Content and SEO team to evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement;
- Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing technical content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements;
- Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write tutorials, how-to articles and other content;
- Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all our educational content.
Requirements
- Еxcellent, near native command of English;
- Minimum 3 years of experience planning and writing technical educational content for multiple audiences;
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics;
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail;
- Thorough research and understanding of every topic before you tackle it;
- Good understanding of SEO principles and digital writing specifics;
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
