About the role
- Develop and maintain, in partnership with the Enterprise Architecture team, a strategic IT roadmap for insurance systems that aligns with the organization’s business objectives.
- Lead the evaluation, analysis and design of insurance solutions based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements and enterprise standards
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to define and implement architectural solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Identify potential areas of improvement in the current IT environment and proposing and implementing solutions.
- Maintain an understanding of emerging technologies, trends, and techniques and assessing their relevance to the organization’s business objectives.
- Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including system diagrams, data models, and technical specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in architecture and/or product management or related roles in the P&C (re)insurance industry. Experience with Workday Financials and UKG is advantageous.
- Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to varying audiences.
- Strong leadership skills; ability to establish and maintain credibility and to influence and build trust.
- Demonstrated track record of excellent decision-making abilities; ability to make decisions logically, methodically and timely.
- Deep and up-to-date expertise in SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, DevOps and micro services.
- Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of the latest trends in technology architecture.
