About the role
- You’ll serve as a technical expert helping customers realize the value of industry‑leading CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent and CFX.
- You’ll combine pre‑sales engineering, consulting, training, and technical support—building a diverse and high‑impact skill set.
- You’ll partner closely with account managers and customers, influencing engineering decisions and software adoption.

- Drive Pre‑Sales Success: Partner with account managers to uncover customer needs and technical challenges. Deliver tailored software demonstrations and technical presentations. Support guided software evaluations and answer technical questions throughout the sales process.
- Facilitate Technical Training: Teach ANSYS Fluent and CFX courses at customer sites, online, and at SimuTech offices across the U.S. and Canada. Deliver engaging, high‑quality instruction aligned to customer application areas.
- Deliver Technical Support: Provide expert support to ANSYS CFD users via phone, email, and in person. Troubleshoot issues related to meshing, solver setup, modeling approaches, and best practices.
- Provide Consulting Services: Collaborate with customers to define analysis requirements, scope, costs, and schedules. Execute full CFD workflows including meshing, boundary condition setup, solving, and post‑processing. Propose alternative design concepts and optimization strategies. Prepare technical reports and documentation that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- 3-6 years of documented industry experience using enterprise‑level CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent and/or CFX.
- Experience performing production‑level CFD analysis and delivering customer‑facing solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
- Strong theoretical foundation in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and numerical methods.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Heat transfer, Combustion, Turbomachinery, Multiphase flow, Aerodynamics, Fluid‑structure interaction (FSI).
- Familiarity with meshing tools such as Workbench Meshing, ICEM, Fluent Meshing/T‑Grid, Gridgen, or Hypermesh.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Professional presentation and strong customer‑facing abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Personable, client‑focused mindset.
- For Canadian candidates: Eligible and willing to pursue a Professional Engineering license within two years of hire.
