Application Engineer

• You’ll serve as a technical expert helping customers realize the value of industry‑leading CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent and CFX.
• You’ll combine pre‑sales engineering, consulting, training, and technical support—building a diverse and high‑impact skill set.
• You’ll partner closely with account managers and customers, influencing engineering decisions and software adoption.
• You’ll work on real‑world, production‑level CFD challenges across a wide range of industries.
• You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team that values technical depth, mentorship, and customer success.
• Drive Pre‑Sales Success: Partner with account managers to uncover customer needs and technical challenges. Deliver tailored software demonstrations and technical presentations. Support guided software evaluations and answer technical questions throughout the sales process.
• Facilitate Technical Training: Teach ANSYS Fluent and CFX courses at customer sites, online, and at SimuTech offices across the U.S. and Canada. Deliver engaging, high‑quality instruction aligned to customer application areas.
• Deliver Technical Support: Provide expert support to ANSYS CFD users via phone, email, and in person. Troubleshoot issues related to meshing, solver setup, modeling approaches, and best practices.
• Provide Consulting Services: Collaborate with customers to define analysis requirements, scope, costs, and schedules. Execute full CFD workflows including meshing, boundary condition setup, solving, and post‑processing. Propose alternative design concepts and optimization strategies. Prepare technical reports and documentation that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
