About the role

  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems.
  • Support the creation and execution of test plans for mechanical products.
  • Perform basic analyses and simulations to validate designs.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports for review.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design requirements are met.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design and testing issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related role.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
  • Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Internship or project experience in aerospace or defense industry (preferred).
  • Familiarity with applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 (preferred).
  • Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles (preferred).
  • Knowledge of environmental requirements for components utilized in aircraft and space applications (preferred).
